The brand new Calibre JCB-003 was designed to be a perfect engine for the Automatique as well as a solid foundation for the development of future complications, all while expressing Maison Biver’s technical approach and neoclassical style.
The Automatique main plate is made from a special gold alloy containing palladium. Naturally white, with no coating and no treatment applied. It doesn’t oxidize and doesn’t deteriorate over time.
Just like with hard stone dials, the Automatique’s 18k gold dials fully utilize the material’s natural properties, achieving a dynamic two-tone finish through the use of alternating straight and circular brushing.

Developed in partnership with Dubois Depraz, the Calibre JCB-003 elevates the humble three-hand movement with the inclusion of a 22k gold micro-rotor, a zero reset mechanism, and Maison Biver’s distinctive decoration style.
Each dial’s outer edge features an applied 18k gold chemin de fer with a deeply relief-engraved seconds track and numerals. This adds to the Automatique’s visual depth while also making it easy to quickly read and precisely set the time at a glance.
Hard stone dials are central to Maison Biver’s ethos of connecting each of our watches to eternity. We will produce a limited quantity of Automatique watches each year with special stone dials that express our more poetic side, beginning with a pair of watches utilizing the underappreciated Pietersite and a uniquely textured type of Obsidian.
